A new competition year is ahead of us, and we will soon start organizing official WAKO events that are included as competitions, where points are earned for the WAKO Ranking list.
To enable this, we want to ensure we are all aware and aligned in regard to how the ranking system works in all competitions.
Competitions from which points are calculated for the WAKO Rank list are:
•World Championships
•Continental Championships
•World Cups
•Continental Cups
Points are awarded for first, second and third place (gold, silver and bronze medals) from World and Continental Championships and first and second place (gold and silver medals) from World and Continental Cups.
In order to standardize the procedure and criteria for the aforementioned competitions, an additional explanation of the procedure is provided in the attachment.
